The Alexandra is an incredible Afghan Bukhora rug from the 1940s. Handknotted with 100% wool the Alexandra still has the original long, beautiful fringe intact, which is rare. The colors in this beauty—mauve, mustard orange, navy, cream and red—are classic but also add amazing dimension to this piece. I get Bokharas and Bukhoras in the shop regularly, but this one is certainly one of the most beautiful I’ve had.
The fringe is an amazing detail, but if it’s long for you, you could easily trim it.
