Moroccan wedding blanket 5’7”x3’1”

Aleah is a Moroccan wedding blanket, part of a Berber tradition from the Atlas Mountains of Morroco. The bride’s family hand weaves a blanket in the months leading up to the wedding with wool, linen and cotton. The blankets are known for their cream color and little, metal sequins. As you can see, as a vintage piece, Aleah does have a bit of rust from the metal sequins that have rubbed off on the cream. However, this piece overall is in excellent condition! It is shown here on a queen bed.
